Here are a few pointers in getting started with get paid to programs.
1. Get a free g mail e-mail address, yahoo, aol, and others bounce and/or block many get paid to e-mails. Once your email is bounced by a get paid to program, they will usually delete your membership.
2. Sign up for the payment processors of your choice. I will note that many people choose 1 payment processor, and will not join programs unless they offer that same processor. Personally, I think of myself like a business and I must make myself available to be paid. It is stupid really for a business to rely on one processor to be the heartbeat of their programs, especially after Paypal recently changed their terms of service and many get paid to programs got caught with their pants down. Many went out of business due to this change. It is a personal decision on your part.
3. Join programs of your choice,just do not put all of your efforts into 1 program. Unfortunately anyone can buy a get paid to click website for $15. For this reason, many new programs do not make it past a month. New PTC owners are faced with cheaters,server upgrades,hackers, and much more. It is also unfortunate that many people call programs that disappear scams, when in fact, the business just did not succeed. Even if a program is legit, it may need to go down for maintainance for weeks or months rendering it useless for reliable income.
Note: For people whom are new to the get paid industry, I highly recommend joining Marketing Pond. Marketing Pond is a free referral building program with an outstanding support forum. The great thing about marketing Pond is that many of the programs involved have been paying their members for 2 years+. The pay rates are somewhat lower than new PTC websites, but they are proven payers. The basic premise of Marketing Pond is once you join the free pond programs, you can then place your referral link into the program and have a free automatically built webpage with your referral links, and use one link to refer people to all of your programs at once. 4.So you have joined several programs and your clicking ads, now what? Here is the most important thing, "you must refer people". This is work, it is not easy, I am not going to lie. You need to spend more time referring people than clicking ads, if you are not willing to put forth this effort you will not be earning to your full potential. Each referral could double your earnings. Do not let this scare you though I have created a lens, that I am adding new information all the time on Learn How to Get Referrals.

Should I Upgrade?
Do not invest money you can not entirely afford to loose. Paid to click sites are much like gambling. I would figure it out mathematically first, How long will it take to recoup your spend? How many referrals do you have?(enough to recoup quickly?). The highest number of referrals I have in 1 ptc program at this moment is 26 or 27, I would maybe consider an upgrade at 50 referrals.
Most PTC sites rarely stay open past 6 months. And there is no guarantee that there will be a certain amount of links for your referrals to click. Most sites start strong and then taper down.
The only 2 programs that I highly recommend upgrades in is wordlinx and clixsense and both only promise you more links for yourself to click not referrals. Both programs have been around for a long time

This really a personal question about how you feel about giving out your personal information, online. If you are worried, go to the bank and get a separate checking account for online endeavors.
Personally, I prefer paypal but most PTC's are no longer allowed to use paypal. After Paypal removed their services and put many PTC's sites down for awhile. I thought deeply about online payment processors. I came to the conclusion that nothing is guaranteed, so I should make myself available to be paid.

I go down the exact list located at the get paid to click directory,plus a few more not listed yet. I open up to seven sites at once, and click ads. Most people join one site and do not get the jist. If you figure the money earned clicking one site the figures go something like this $.01 for 30 seconds, $.02 per minute,$1.20 per hour, but if you multiply this number by 7 (for 7 sites at a time), Your earnings are $8.40 an hour.
